| hi, i'm russian and i live in russia. guyren go to school at 7 years old and study 10 years normally. some of them go to school at 6 years old and study 11 years (their parents want them to study more thoroughly). they all enter the 1st form (class) and finish 11th form (class), but those who study within 10 years study harder first 3 years and miss the 4th form (class). there's no school uniform in russian schools, so everybody wear what they want if it's not immoral. there's no subject to choose. all the subjects are obligatory to study. classes last from 8-8:30 am till 12-14 pm. there's 2-6 classes every day (mostly 5) for 45 minutes each with 10 minutes breaks between. day offs are saturday and sunday or sunday only. there's a lot of homework (a lot to learn by heart and a lot of exercises to write). schoolers are joined in groups of 25-35 persons and within all 10-11 years they study together and have the same classes and the same schedule. there's a lot to say more about russian educational system, but i'm very tired to write |
